For more than three decades, the Chamber has presented Leadership Hopkins County, a yearly class designed to identify, educate, and inspire leaders to serve our community.
Leadership Hopkins County graduates are expected to be positive role models; active community leaders who are open-minded to change and innovation; able to utilize networking skills; educated on current community issues; and committed to effecting community improvement.
The goals of the program are to: Familiarize emerging leaders with one another and with the community's current business and civic leadership; provide these leaders with an understanding of major challenges and opportunities facing Hopkins County; stimulate increased participation and commitment in the community; create opportunities to increase knowledge and skills in community leadership; offer increased contacts and broader communication networks; and provide greater access and participation in addressing community needs.
